AshleysSweetTreats is a dessert and café bakery located in Mount Vernon, NY. We specialize in custom cakes and desserts, focusing on delighting our customers with artisanal, beautiful, and high-quality cakes and desserts.
Meet Ashley Bady
Born in White Plains, NY, and raised in Mount Vernon, NY, Ashley Bady graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts. She furthered her education at SUNY Plattsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism, and Management with a minor in Business.

After graduating, Ashley began an internship at a Ceviche Restaurant, a fast-casual Peruvian spot in downtown NYC. She later became a chef at two nursing homes in Westchester, NY, before transitioning into a role as a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager at Empire City Casino in Yonkers, NY.
A Passion for Baking
From a young age, Ashley had a passion for baking and would spend hours in the kitchen watching her grandmother cook and bake. These moments inspired her to pursue a career doing what brought her and her grandmother so much joy.
To sharpen her skills, Ashley watched cooking videos on YouTube and studied cookbooks from famous chefs, absorbing their expertise and techniques.
How it All Started
AshleysSweetTreats began as a home-based baking business in Mount Vernon, NY. After college, Ashley started creating small cakes and personalized desserts for the community and local events.
As her popularity grew, Ashley expanded her offerings to include larger events such as weddings, baby showers, bar mitzvahs, and christenings.
